If you are like me and live within a budget, then the "Coffee Shop" in the Cathedral is not where you want to come and get your lunch and coffee whilst in the City. Just down the road from there is the Indoor market...A MUST!...More

This market has something fir everyone. From light refreshments through to footwear and butchery. I especially like the unusual stalls with antiques , toys and ornate lamps.

Dropped into the market during a visit to Durham. There were multiple venders, and we were especially impressed with the cheese selection, and the various jam venders.

This market is an interesting place just to walk around even if you're not buying. It consists of a large number of independent.quality stalls. The sort of stall/shop that used to make up your high street.Nostalgia and quality.
