It's ok, need lots of money for the gambling machines. Arcades don't seem to have fifa, sports or fighting games anymore.

Great for kid's. Machines and rides are well maintained. There's lots of entertainment and food available. Only downside is it can get very busy and tight to walk through with a buggy.

Unfortunatly the end of the pier with the kids rides etc was closed the day we visited but it looked great! We had fun on the 2p slots in the amusements too.

My wife and I get to Paignton quite often, staying mainly at the Queens Hotel (a very good hotel by the way). We always find time to pay the pier a visit, and have spent many a happy hour there. It's FREE to use, which...More

As you can imagine ... it's a pier filled with slot, arm and gaming machines. Also vendors selling ice cream, drinks and candy floss. Some of which is under cover. Kids love it...parents fund it. Other little vendors nearby for hot/cold drinks ice cream etc...More

Looks a decent pier from a distance but most of the views are blocked because you have to walk through an amusement arcade. I like arcades but would rather have taken in the sea view. The end of the pier was shut at the time...More

Worst pier I've ever been on, you have to squeeze past hundreds of gaming machines all flashing and blasting out inane sounds, then you still can't get to the end of the pier due to rides. Everything a pier shouldn't be, almost impossible to to...More

Looks interesting from a distance, however a walk on the pier is difficult as 80% of it is covered by a amusement shack with the associated noise levels. Don't expect to sit in a deck chair and have a sleep.

Hi Steve, I would just like to reiterate the danger of the seagulls not just on the pier but even in the town of Paignton and surrounding areas. They have become fearless and brazen. We were sat on a bench and my Partner and I were totally shocked at the lightning speed with which a gull swooped and stole the whole of the hot dog he was eating. It happened in a flash; now if they are brave enough to do that to an adult goodness knows what could happen to a child. These are menaces in the sky and it seems wrong that they are protected. We even saw a total waste of resources with two fire engines deployed to rescue a seagull that had become trapped up on Alta Vista road in netting at the top of some flats. I would also like to add that I love Paignton, but people do need to be made aware of this real danger.

Yes there is a fortune teller on the pier, but she is only there in the summer months. She is on the right hand side as you go along the pier, she was also there last year.
