Very large beach but windy. Good for kites and surfers. Plenty room for exercising dogs and children. . When the tide is out it is accessible over the bridge but not when it is in hence the "bridge to nowhere". Used to live in Belhaven and was on the beach and surrounding area most days.

This is a grest beach, huge expansive area of open sand, plenty of room for everyone. Acces can be a bit difficult at high tide as the bridge falls a bit short. Lots of surfers

Visited many times over many years, lovely walk along the beach with great views. I have said it to myself many times why don't they make it more accessible, if it's high tide you can't get over the bridge to get to the beach, they need to make a better walkway. They have started charging for the car park, which... More

As a child we often holidayed here, a few years on this beach and surroundings are still enchanting and relaxing whatever age you are.

Its an easy park up if your not travelling in a vehicle over 6 ft. Although we managed to get a park no problem without a height restriction . Walk through the salt marshes onto the dunes and into the wide expanse of beach. It was busy when we were there seemed to be lots of groups having "FUN" A... More

Beautiful beach with golden sands that goes on and on. Superb on a sunny day. Rolling waves attract surfers. When you look at this beach from a distance it could be in an exotic country in a warm climate. Bridge to nowhere is a novelty but don't get stuck on the other side when the tide comes in !

Took the dog to Belhaven Bay today after walking the cliff top route from Dunbar. It was a sunny, Sunday afternoon. The beach was, surprisingly, very quiet and the wide expanse of sand runs right around the bay. The dog loved having the scope to run around and we spent time watching the sea birds dive for food. We were... More

brilliant just to relax, well kept by the Council, ideal for surfers, dogs and children or just to sit and watch, there is always something happening at sea

Nice family day out, loads of space on wide open, exposed beach at low tide. There's a much-photographed "bridge to nowhere" to cross a small stream on the way to the beach.
