This donkey sanctuary has undergone many changes, only for the better since my first visit, trying to accommodate all its visitors yet most importantly the animals. I am sure if the animals could speak they would agree. I always try and visit the sanctuary when I am visiting the Isle Of Wight. Their gift/coffee shop is very reasonably priced. There... More

Really lovely day out and we just had to adopt a donkey.. why wouldn't you! Its free to get in and the staff are so friendly and informative that we really felt we wanted to support the amazing effort to look after these beautiful animals. My daughter groomed 'Jack' and they 'bonded' (hence the adoption!) The cafe was lovely, very... More

A great day out. There are plenty of donkeys to meet plus Shetland ponies! Many special events are held throughout the year which are great fun and sometimes involve musicians - eg a fabulous accordion group. Adopt a donkey and support this worthwhile cause.

Had a fantastic time visiting the statuary and learning all their names. We clubbed together so our friend was able to walk a donkey, it really made her day. We all took part in pony slalom as well and had a really fun time.

Payed a return visit after almost twenty years. Although you don't have to pay to visit. And they still loved stroking the donkeys. Easy to get to, flat walking, parking on site, small cafe with lots of donkey souvenirs, colouring in books etc. Easy to loose a couple of hours here with little children.

Didn't know what to expect but pleasantly surprised. The donkeys have their own personalities which makes it funny to see. I think this sanctuary does some really good work with not only looking after the donkeys but also the work they do with people with disabilities. It was hard work not to go home with one. Enjoyed the home baking... More

What a place! So many people to tell you about the donkeys, their history, their personalities. The caferry is great and not like most tourist places...overpriced. the whole place is a chairy and they let you in for FREE! Be sure to pop into their 2nd hand sale area for brick a brace bargains too.

A nice sanctuary were the donkeys are very well looked after. Some are a little shy but others like to be petted... a nice stop off.
