Lovely theatre staging a variety of local and touring productions. There is something for everyone. Ticket prices are usually very reasonable particularly when compared to those charged in the Uk. The theatre building itself is stunning. Theatre tours are available at certain times of the year.

On Saturdays at 10:00 The Gaiety Theatre offers a tour of the building, which takes about 2 hours. What an excellent tour and what a lovely theatre - well worth the £7.50 each. We suggest you don't miss it as all money raised goes towards final restoration of this beautiful Victorian Theatre.

We were lucky enough to be in Douglas for the opening night of Oliver but had to have seats with limited leg room. We were aware of that when we bought the tickets. The staff were very helpful showing us to our seats and explaining that if the leg room was a problem they would try and re-seat us. The... More

Beautiful theatre that has been restored to an outstanding level. The Oliver cast and crew should be very proud of themselves and the theatre tour is a must do for any theatre lover , excellent.

We only booked the tour as we had tickets to see Oliver. I couldn't see how the tour would fill over two hours but it did, the time flew by. This is a beautiful building brought to life by the knowledgeable and interesting guide and our visit was a high spot of our stay in Douglas along with the Manx... More

Go on the theatre tour if you are interested in good stories, beautiful surroundings, what its like on the stage, how differnt backstage looks, how all the serious magic is under the stage. Get a glimpse into how special effects are performed. Find out about the glass jigsaw and the Corsican trap. And feel how comfortable the front row of the... More

One of the most beautiful Theatre's in the world. Lots of good local shows including Thorougly Modern Millie Junior 28th-30th July 2016. Entertainment for the whole family - highly recommended.

Such an amazing theatre and so well maintained. We always try to see a show here when we visit the island, as much to see the theatre itself as a show. The interior is not to be missed.

I attended one of the regular Saturday morning theatre tours of the beautifully restored Gaiety Theatre. This stunning Victorian theatre was designed by Frank Matcham, a leading theatre architect of his day. Leading the tour was Mike and his enthusiasm and love of the building shone through. He was engaging and informative about the building, its design and history. The... More
