My fourth time to the Lion Park. Its a great half day trip. Always good to see lions up close and to be able to touch the lion cubs. Food is good, other facilities are also quite good. Great venue for families as kids seem to enjoy it. I do feel its a bit overpriced for locals.

took the two granddaughters of 1.5 and 2.5, they are fearless, to learn about Lions who "have big teeth and bite" according to them, they cub interaction is excellent, showing the and teaching them about Lions, giraffe feeding was wonderful and the camps with the grown Lions are great, Lions well looked after from what I could tell, the little... What an experience playing with Lion Cubs and driving through the Lion enclosures while they are being fed! Great tourist attraction bringing you close to wild animals like the Lions, Giraffes and many others. You get to feed the Ostriches and Giraffes by hand! I would recommend the guided tour drive rather than driving yourself around as the drivers know... More

It is perfect for kids and adults alike- loved it. Other than seeing so many lions so up and close, one can touch lion cubs, feed ostriches and giraffe. All in all we loved it. Although felt that enclosures were quite small for the number of wild animals in them.

This was a surprise extra trip for us. We just wanted something to do for the afternoon that wasn't far from our hotel. We got a driver and were there quickly. He took us around the park and explained all kinds of lion behavior to us. We got to hold the baby and see the other animals. We had a... More

We had just visited pilanesburg game reserve and seen the big 5 in a much more natural environment on our game drives there. As other reviewers have noted this really felt like and average zoo experience - I didn't really enjoy seeing the lions and other animals in such a manufactured environment as we drove through. Yes we took some... More

i was there in October.. Everyone should include Alex Larenty when they visit the Lion Park. Amazing. Awesome. I felt all of these Lions should be in their own habitat. But because of human encroachment that can't happen unfortunately. Also definitely do the Cheetah walk. I could do that with Felix everyday. Same said about these awesome cats. would love... More

Not really sure what I expected but this was not it, I had in my mind, Lions roaming freely in large spaces but this appeared to me to be a zoo in disguise. The lions wander about in over sized pens but not really of a size that I expected; to give them freedom to run around. Such beautiful creatures... More

So yea it's my first time in RSA and my first time seeing animals like these up close! The park itself is quite cool! really enjoyed it. Though getting there was a pain! had to go through the back roads...dirt tracks really, because of some bicycling event! So...if y'all decide to go there...check up on any possible road blocks! Some... More
