I visited here with my girlfriend, mum and sister this past weekend and it was terrific. We spent around 3 hours here and brought along a picnic for a spot of lunch. They have so many different enclosures to be seen which are all well kept. You have the chance to book an 'experience' at an extra cost but it... More

Visited today and not what was expecting, dull inside and not many animals in the zoo. Rained at time of visit and no shelter outdoors from rain. Could do with an upgrade investment.

There are lots of opportunities to see animals and birds from inside their enclosures. Lemur's are in an open area, as are the wallabies. The Amazon rainforest is an open area for many tropical birds, fish and terrapins.

We have not been here for several years and noticed the improvements. Still lots of work in progress but the animals seem well cared for by dedicated staff. The new Penguin pool is well set up to get close to the birds. Very worth a visit for a zoo with animal welfare and conservation in mind.

Small zoo with a handful of animals - they seemed to be well kept though. Not much interaction with the animals on display, you can only pet 1 type of animal for free - wallaby - if the animals are up for it. Obviously do not stress them to do so! However the £15 per person to pet a tapir... More

Whilst on holiday my family and I decided to visit the park with a picnic as a day out. However when we arrived we had to spend over £40 on entrance fees as we had to pay for our 3yr old. After looking at the website and brochures we had an excited child and expected to be there the whole... More

This is unlike a zoo it was really like walking through the jungle. the staff were very helpful and kept the place very clean. Well worth a visit and the ticket you purchase is valid for 7 days.

Although perhaps a little dated and in parts in need of some TLC this is a good way of spending a couple of hours in the Sandown area. The price was reasonable and includes free returns. The animals and birds appeared well cared for and the staff were enthusiastic.Gift shop could do with updating.
