Pros - Gorgeous setting. Dog friendly. Quiet and beautiful gardens. Cons - No towels provided. No wifi. For the price you pay these should really be as standard. Ilfracombe has a wonderful tapas restaurant. You should go there.

Nice manor house, with a most haunted theme. The girls loved it....but they are into ghosts! As a staunch sceptic I'm not so keen.... but the guide was excellent and really made an effort....but im just a sourpuss. No dogs in the house but lovely walks around the site and grounds.

Visited with my sister in September 2015 and cannot recommend this enough it was so good, would definitely visit here again! We were lucky enough to get a guided tour in a small group and the lady doing the tour kept the attention of the whole group at all times and was so knowledgeable. The cafe was also very nice!

I visited with an adult with special needs. We arrived on a Wednesday to find that our only option was a guided tour at £3 per head more expensive than unguided. There was no reduction for an adult with a disability and a carer. Although the guided tour was very good and informative there was no option to then go... More

Lovely manor house, a little gem hidden away. Lots of history which is brought to life by a very knowledgeable guide. Known for paranormal activity it certainly has a spooky feel. Super tea room & shop & some lovely gardens. Seats within the property for elderly visitors & a lovely way to spend a couple of hours.

Had a brilliant tour guide for Chambercombe Manor who really bought all the history to life. She was able to answer questions with a brilliant sense of humour. The rooms were steeped in history, you actually felt as if you had gone back in time. A fascinating place to visit if you like ghost stories, if you don't still a... More

We stayed at Fuschia cottage during the May half term with our 2 children aged 5 and 2. The cottage was beautiful and incredibly clean. Everything was included with a washing machine, iron, all the utensils, necessary convinienes. I was actually was suprised how large the cottage was as the photos perhaps do not do this justice. The front room had... More

A lovely morning spent here. The guided tour followed by tea and cake in the café and a stroll in the garden. The guide was a lovely, vibrant lady whose knowledge and enthusiasm were spellbinding. My son and I both smelled the presence of the Victorian girl...he was thrilled! Well worth a visit. I almost forgot to mention the lovely gentleman... More
