Lovely gardens early we went early evening with the kids the park is quieter and more relaxing . The flower bed are well attended and in full bloom the lake could do with a clean .

The gradens are peaceful as others have said. We chose a rare dull day this summer but enjoyed it immensly as did our 18 mth toddler grandchild. All the anaimals - cagaed or free were a hit.

I'm very lucky to have this park on my doorstep. To make things even better, the park and gardens are all run by volunteers.

Another lovely area of tranquillity approximately 25 - 30 minutes walk from town and free to enter. It is a shame the council has plans to close the aviary.

Lovely gardens and surrounding walks. Looked very well cared for Plenty of seating to enjoy the views and good weather. Cafe and inn to relax and enjoy refreshments in good or bad weather. All seemed very clean and litter free. Fernery currently closed as new...More

Been coming for years great to take the kids. Lovely flowers and lots of wildlife to enjoy. Parking is a bit of a pain but we would still come back.

Loads of benches, grassed areas for picnics, tree trunks to sit on or climb, and outside seating too at cafe
