Dog walking heaven

We love it here, it is always interesting and beautiful regardless of the weather. A fantastic place for family walks and our dogs think it is heaven!

An excellent place to spend the day. Magnificent park with ducks and different routes to walk. Many outdoor places specially designed for the kids to play. They also have a coffee shop where you can buy a souvenir. A mandatory stop in your visit to this part of the country.

Lovely long walk first then into coffee shop for coffee and lemon drizzle cake. Lots of choice of nice Homebakes on offer. Very busy .

As an English member of the National Trust for Scotland I have visited a number of their properties in Aberdeenshire. This is lovely with the Scots Mile and the Raphael painting. I will definitely return in the better weather. The guides were so enthusiastic it was a joy to listen to them. I do recommend visiting this lovely property.

Visited with grandchildren - not a lot to keep them happy at first - we enjoyed wandering around - the gardens were very nice - some nice touches throughout and we were impressed. Enjoyed the walks - the kids were real happy when the playground appeared - the flying fox was hammered with kids taking turn after turn - amazingly... More

Visited here with the walking group of which I am a member. From the spacious car park we walked through woods to the edge of the large lawn and followed the signs for The Pheasantry and toilets! Made full use of these clean well maintained facilities then continued our walk round the water (pond, lake, loch?) spotting many types of... More

Went there to see the pheasants but no luck, instead we had a nice long walk and saw different other birds. Good place for walk, pet friendly and good for children also 😉

This house is mainly Victorian on the inside so not a lot of histric features . The joy of the house is that they only do guided tours , you cannot go round by yourself. I have visited many National Trust properties in England and Scotland this year and much prefer a tour to wandering round trying to read the... More

One of my favourite places on earth. Restful, picturesque and fabulous to walk the dog around. House is well worth a visit as gives great background to some local history and an insight as to how the other half lived decades ago.
