Seems to be difficult to find restaurants for dinner during the week in Aberdeenshire. Many are closed. FoF open for dinner from Thur-Sunday. We (3 persons) were the only guests - and surprised to find indeed a hidden jewel. Excellent food (Monkfish, Lamb stew, chicken),...More

Always a firm family favourite- a pit stop at the brig to watch the salmon jump. I remember doing this for the last 30yrs - it hasn't changed and is still as enchanting Definitely worth the 20min detour

After such a dry summer and autumn so far, the falls were quite tame but easy to imagine a torrent roaring over the rocks and under the bridge. We enjoyed a coffee and a light meal at the excellent restaurant overlooking the ravine.

Passing views when passing by. We stumbled across the footbridge when we saw this scenery. It’s definitely beautiful but a shame that there’s no incorporated walks! Definitely worth a look.
