Cheese O Rama

Very interesting to see the process of making this complicated cheese. The tour was quite informative and the tasting at the end was exquisite.

Interesting tour of the Roquefort Cheese caves with a lot of information provided by the guide. There are tours in English but you may have to wait a while. You get an English information sheet. It was a really hot day so the coolness was very welcome, but you might want to take a jumper. Quite a lot of stairs... More

Well set out, well presented and the majority French people on our 11am tour obviously loved it. Lots of interaction and laughter. For us English speakers, there was a detailed and informative sheet for us to follow which had obviously been proofed by a native speaker of English so was free of Franglais. The tour is handicapped person friendly but... More

The organised tour is in English but the production is a little amateur.Fascinating insight into cheese production and the history. If you want to see actual cheese one should visit between October and May when they collect the milk from the sheep. Tasting at the end and shopping. Take warm clothes as it is a constant 10 degrees centigrade. There... More

Fancied a break from the sun so visited the cheese caves. Worth a visit. No dogs allowed and a bit too much for my 70 year old father

My family and I went on the tour in the height of summer and in typical British fashion were not prepared to get that cold. Its 8.5 degrees down there so take some extra layers. The tour was good but only in French. We had an English leaflet explaining the different areas for us. Worth a trip to escape the... More

We visited here on a whim for something to do. We signed up hoping for an English tour, but it already had 45 people on it, so we took the French tour with a guidance sheet of paper. It was interesting, but in the initial part they show a video that looked more some sort of sales promo that was... More

Whilst we took this tour with the knowledge that the majority of it was in French, we were led to believe that we would be given written information in English and that the guide would be able to understand and speak some English. Well, we were given some written information in English but it was very brief and did not... More

It was interesting visit for our family in the Caves, we're hesitating as we had only sunday to visit however it was nice to find that they're open almost everyday. one weak point may be there is no english guidance however they can provide you some info leaflet in english. possible to buy cheese end of tour with some "degustation"

We thought from photos we've seen elsewhere that we would see more cellars with real cheeses, when in actual fact it was obvious that this tour was just set up to give you an idea of how the cheeses is stored, although they go to great lengths to say how the humidity and temperature of the caves is the perfect...
