Alison is doing a grand job here with limited resources to care for a wonderfully diverse range of animals. It's the perfect place to take young children to get right up close to the animals. If the weather is bad you do need decent footwear....More

We paid a family visit to the Ark whilst on holiday nearby , loads of different animals to view , although small worth a visit if nearby , lady who ran it took time out to chat about the animals and answer any questions, really...More

It's great for the full family and especially when the kids can get right up and personal and feed the animals . Alison is doing a great job and is so friendly

Had a wonderful afternoon up on the hill overlooking Sanquhar. (Worth a visit for the view alone). The animals are well looked after and the place is full of love. Its not a petting zoo, this lady just opens the doors to the place where...More

a lovely place for all the family to enjoy meeting and interacting with all the animals.just remember to wear your wellies if its raining! entry is free( but the ponies and donkeys would appreciate a few carrots).

Thanks for your feedback. Sorry no one was around when you visited. We have notices at the entrance of do's and don'ts and on the other gates explaining where and when you can go. Obviously your visit was before we had these made, so apologies...More

Great place to take children to get up close to donkeys pig sheep Shetland ponies chickens and a few other creatures!! Alison and other volunteers make you welcome lot of hard work being done to mske it even better to walk round and see animals
