This is the most homely lived in castle we have visited and a true reflection of a real castle that is lived in! The rooms you could just imaging sitting in them or sleeping in the beds! The cafe is very nice with freshly made food, at a reasonable price.

Really enjoyed our visit here. Beautiful castle and gardens and comfortable coffee shop. Helped that it was on hottest day of the year. Beautiful walks to river too.

When you think of castles of childhood stories, this is about as close as it gets outside of Neuschwanstein. The family gave an insightful and accommodating tour of the property, including the spectacular grounds. Definitely my favorite castle stop in Scotland.

This place was somewhere to stop on the way to our next destination. Really enjoyed the gardens and small tea room. Not many rooms to visit, but what there was to see was very interesting. Lots of pictures of the royal family with the family! Their distillery looked beautiful but didn't get a chance to visit!

This Castle is real gem. Tucked away north of sunny Granton it really is a beautiful gem of a place. Easy parking and a lovely walk past an 18th century dove cote to the main castle sets the scene for a beautiful 16th century (modified) castle with outstanding grounds. The brochure says "friendly welcome" and it certainly is with the... More

We were there on a business trip, as we work with the distilleries in the area. The hotel was Clean, comfortable, food was amazing, breakfast had stornoway black pudding to die for. Service was excellent, highly recommend staying there

Super little 9/18 hole golf course. No real club facilities available but that does not detract from this family run golf course. It sits right next to the Ballindalloch Distillery so what else would one want for. Oh yes fishing. That is there too. Great visit and enjoyed playing the course

I was unimpressed with this place. It looks nice from the exterior, but the interior is almost decorated like the 1970's. Maybe I misled myself on expecting older furnishings, etc. No pictures are allowed inside - no doubt it would reduce the visitors and revenue. I would not recommend this place. ... The people there were nice, just the product... More

If you are visiting this area of Speyside a visit to Ballindalloch Castle is an absolute must as it is the most wonderful family house to enjoy.

Incredibly maintained example of the "opulence" of a noble family in an historic castle still used in the 21st century, with nice grounds and gardens and a good tea room.

Thank Gavin R
