The Givatayim Observatory is the oldest observatory in Israel, and serves as the main base for amateur astronomers in Israel.

The observatory holds a weekly public tour every Thursday at 19:30. The tour includes a basic lecture, an observation through our telescopes, and a planetarium show. These tours are guided in Hebrew, but events in English are also available for groups (contact our office for more information).

Terrific workshops for children

Our youngest loves the astronomy workshop at the observatory that is located in the Gan Haaliyah garden.

If you like to watch the sky and to look for some stars, you can reach to the Givatayim observatory. Be aware that Givatayim is a small city nearby Tel-Aviv.
