This spa was beautiful. The thermal pools and massages were fantastic. The staff are friendly and very accommodating.

I loved the hotel and the associated restaurant. The architecture of the hotel was unique (built into the hill) and interesting. You get to choose from the menu the included breakfast. Every meal at the hotel was beautifully prepared. I fell in love with their fish ceviche (as opposed to shrimp).
The staff was very accommodating.
I have a disability so the biggest challenge was getting up and down some interestingly designed steps to our hotel room. As long as I took my time with my oxygen tank, I got up and down ok. Otherwise, disabilities were considered in the design and everyone was helpful when possible.
Some of the staff could spend more time learning English. We did not know much Spanish, but we were able to work things through with those who did know some English.
All in all, I would love to go there again.

Nice spa facilities. Check out a towel. Check in your belongings while in the spa.
Thermal spas up a level. The staff moves you from pool to pool. 1st VERY hot then VERY cold then lukewarm then a nice warm. Then move back through the circuit again...and again. Then up another level is a jacuzzi
You’ll get a complementary smoothie - either berry or mango.
Clean. Nice. A great way to relax and distress.
We went after a strenuous hike. Hopefully I won’t be sore after the hike then spa.
Recommend!

Excellent spa services. Staff is nice and willing to help you at all time. In the spa area you can disconnect from all the noise and craziness from the outside and start connecting with yourself. The massages are great and the masseuses are very professional. Recommendation: tip your masseuse, she deserves it!

Very new, boutique hotel with nice rooms. Food very good. The infinity pool and jaccuzi have opening times till 22hour. However, the hotel deal do NOT include the thermal baths circuit of hotel Santa Therisita, only the part with pools. Too crowded, almost like a picnic place, serving food next to the pools.

Hello Nathalie, thank you for your comments! We are very glad you enjoyed our hotel. Regarding the food issue you mention near the pools in Santa Teresita, we have taken action regarding this issue so no food will be allowed near the family pools. We hope to have you stay with us again!

I arranged a tour through the Yellow House Hostel in Antigua to do the Pacaya Volcano hike in the morning and spend the afternoon relaxing here in the pools. I really enjoyed the pools. It is relaxing and they have music playing in the background. There are volcanoes in the backdrop. There are 4 pools of varying temperatures. They have fruit smoothies they will serve to you in the pools and a menu from the kitchen you can order from as well. Children are not allowed into the upper sections which adds to the relaxation. There is a castle like structure you can climb and I fell asleep in a lounge chair in one of the upper levels. I would make it a priority to come back here if I am ever fortunate enough to visit Antigua again.

I saw the brochure for this place with a photo of the pools set against quiet green hills and immediately booked my afternoon there. When I arrived I discovered that the spa is NOT near green hills - it is next to an industrial area with big trucks rolling by every minute - it is quite noisy and not the "escape" they had falsely advertised with doctored photos. It's not a bad spa BUT it was not what I expected and so naturally I was disappointed. Upstairs at the spa there is tranquil music, but just below is the main pool where they play euro-trashy techno pop music so most of the time you can hear the bleed between the 2 music genres and the trucks honking on the road. My back massage would have been ok had I been allowed to take off my thick terry cloth robe (I had a bathing suit underneath) but the massage therapist insisted on giving me a back massage with my thick robe on? Very odd? Sadly, this was not the day I had hoped for. * Worth noting is that their new sister hotel Kawilal next door is LEEDS certified (built in 2013) and is gorgeous and set back from the road. It has a view of the mountains and the rooms are lovely! Skip the spa just go to the hotel for a night!)

The spa paid for our round trip taxi from Antigua. I got the whole package with coffee-chocolate scrub circuit of baths and massage. Professional treatment. Lunch was good. Only complaint was there was no way to tip the excellent women who give the treatments

Does Kawilal require swimwear to use the facilities or can guests wear clothing like athletic leggings and tank tops in the pools?

We will be in Puerto Quetzal on the Norwegian Gem on February 2, 2019. How can we get to your spa without taking a shore excursion from the ship. What are you rates for a day?

Hello deekay516, you can see all of our services at our webpage, which you will find if you search for "Santa Teresita Guatemala" (sorry I can't post links in trip advisor). You can contact us directly by email if you would like for us to arrange a personalized day with transport from the terminal. If you would like to hire transportation yourself, you could approach a taxi driver or shuttle and ask them to bring you to Santa Teresita Spa in Amatitlán. I hope you will be able to visit us!

Will probably visit the spa in January, 2018 by booking a tour from Puerto Quetzal as we are on a cruise. How do I make a reservation in advance for a massage or any other spa service and what are the prices?
