This is an absolutely beautiful church, full of wonderful art and architecture. There is almost too much to take in and in the end we went round it twice - once for a general overview, once for more detail. As with all the churches in Tarazona, there are cheeky storks nesting all over the roof and the towers.

One of the most historic church ive ever been; for a devoted catholic it is the first time in my life, as well as my family, that qe saw a pregnant virgin mary; remains of 13 century concilio vaticano

I've been visiting this town almost all my life for family reasons, and I had to wait 26 years to be able to visit it since it was being renovated all this time. When I could finally visit it it didn't disappoint me at all. It is very nice with plenty of different chapels and some really old and quite... More

After many years and loads of money, Tarazona's cathedral has been finally restaured showing all its beauty. This cathedral has the charasteristic romanic base in the shape of a cross and was finalised in the 16 century. It is a wonderful mix of romanic, gothic and mudejar styles due to the influence of the period in history were Spain hosted... More

We did not enter the cathedral, but it looms large over the central area of the town. In its tall steeple we saw the first of many large bird nests in the area, which we later learned were storks.

The carhedral is gorgeous. They are still working on it, its amazing all the work done on it and all they have ahead. The guided tour explains step by step all about it and the remodelation exibition is very interesting. Is beautiful to visi on your own but it's better if the guide explains you.

Tarazona's cathedral is being renovated - a long-term project that has already taken well over two decades. In fact it was shut for about 20 years, reopening in 2011. There is still work ongoing inside, and plenty of scaffolding at the entrance, but parts of the outside that have been finished are stunning, showing the moorish influences on the architecture.... From the outside, the cathedral is not very impressive - especially with the scaffolding on one side. But the inside is fascinating. There are Roman, Romanesque, Mudejar, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque elements jumbled together here. It is both an archaeological site and a sacred space. We went inside planning to spend 20 minutes and stayed 2 hours.
