There's snorkelling offshore, and while the coral is in a very sorry state, you'll probably see a turtle or two and there are still plenty of fish. You can surf, cycle around the island, do snorkelling and fishing trips or you can just lay on the beach and take it easy. Or you can party. A very lively party scene... More

Gili Trawangan is such adorable island, very natural with white sands, and we will enjoy the island by going around by bicycle.

I was here to sub as a yoga teacher for 10 days. I had serious doubts about taking the job as I had been to Gili T before and had a bad time. I decided to give it another go. Gili Trawangan is an island that may have been pretty once upon a time in its natural state, long before... More

Great place to go with friends or as a couple. Relax on the beach during the day, go snorkeling/scuba diving/long boarding or go for a cycle around the island. Check out the amazing sunset on the far side of the island in the evening and hit the bars in the village at night to party for hours

We found a boat from Lombok and in 20 minutes arrived to a place for diving. Joyful atmosphere, young people, good food on the beach...

A short inexpensive trip from the mainland, about 45 mins in a covered launch open air. Clean unspoilt beaches and numerous wareungs to take a coconut or light lunch. Snorkelling is pretty average with the inshore reef obviously dying due to intertidal pollution, still safe and easy snorkelling for the amateur....easy to travel around on bikes, motorcycle or rental car.... I had a wonderful time in Gili Trawangan. There is great nightlife, some awesome bars and music with cheap drinks. You are really spoilt for choice with food. I am vegetarian and found many places that had amazing vego food. There are great snorkel spots all around the island with plenty of pretty fish, turtles and coral to enjoy. Bike... More

My family spent 3 weeks on Gili T. Plan was to do a lot of nothing. We succeeded. We stayed in the north of the island to be away from the night life allowing us to choose how late we stayed out and not be troubled by party noise when we went home. Snorkelling was enjoyable and easy to spot... More
