Interesting museum of Zubair family. It has three separate buildings and each of them represent different topics about Omani lifestyle or history. I loved seeing old times rooms with tiny entrances and lamps. Got some idea about Omani traditional clothes. Their style varies depending on...More

I mean is it unbelievable. No. I was pretty cool however to see the local furniture and weapons and such. There was no real art. But you can see it in about 30 minutes and it is great to cool off from the hot outside.

Museum has interesting information about the different styles of traditional clothing and the cultural history of Oman. It also contains interesting collections of coins and stamps. It also helped me learn more about history - as part of Pakistan used to be part of Oman

A most interesting museum that gives a wonderful overview of the history of Muscat (and Oman) ... well set out and very informative. Clothes, weaponry, models of local forts, life style of the time are all featured, including some of the early musical instruments.

There is a gift shop in Bait al Zubair. They have nice souvenirs which are nicely packed. They have variety and small items are reasonably priced.
