After driving for hours, this is the place to take a walk - down to Coomeenoole Beach, up to the cape or both ;-) Distances are not big and sights are impressive!

After 3 trips to Kerry we finally had decent enough weather to attempt the Slea Head drive. And well with the wait! Beautiful views, not loads of traffic (much calmer than the Ring of Kerry), but with loads to see and do. Best advice would...More

We took the Slea head drive on way to Gallarus Oratory and so glad we did. Everywhere we looked, there was amazing views that you just must experience. When in Kerry, take the trip out to Slea Head Drive and see for yourself!

Definitely one of the highlights of the Southwest! Be sure to hike the Sybil Head! They really should restrict motor coaches (buses) to sprinter size and smaller as the roads are just not wide enough. Also, it’s too bad they can’t just charge one entrance...More

If you are near please make the effort. Many areas where you can safely stop and enjoy the scenery. Takes longer than you think when you include all the great photo opportunities.

The Slea Head Drive from Dingle has beautiful coastal scenery and many ancient sights worthy of a visit. There are also many small villages along the way with many opportunities for lunch and refreshments.

We had several people recommend the Slea Head Drive and weren't disappointed. The views out to the Blasket Islands and wider ocean were quite stunning despite the moody skies. There are plenty of view spots and places to park. For those that want to take...More

We stopped near Ventry at the Relics of 1845 Famine and then the Prehistoric Beehive Hut Fahan Group. Great sea views, cool buildings and grazing animals add to the experience. Head to the Great Blasket Centre. It is a... More

It is basically a big loop leaving from and returning to Dingle. You need to give yourself a minimum of 4-5 hours to do it justice.

We drove the Slea Head Drive out of Dingle last October. No issues. Plenty of places to pull over and park and take in the wonderful views.
