This is our favorite drive in all of Ireland (really in all the world)! The color of the water and the landscape is so diverse. The different shades of blue as the water makes it way to shore changes and each color is beautiful. All the little villages along the drive make for a fun stop. We prefer this drive... More

The Slea Head Drive is a loop road starting and ending in Dingle. You can see stunning scenery, including cliffs and overlooks, mountains, valleys, green, brown, a little bit of everything. We drove the entire loop in about three hours, including a couple of stops along the way. But, depending on weather, you could probably spend an entire day exploring... More

How lucky we were to have the fog give way to sunny skies as we made our way to Connor's Pass. The views are spectacular. In some ways I was reminded of Going-to-the-Sun road in Glacier National Park in Montana and other sections of the drive resemble parts of the Pacific Coast highway in Northern California. Absolutely stunning!

Follow the coast road west out of Dingle and enjoy the the wonderful coastal views. Stop and linger at Slea head, at Coumeenoole beach, at Dunquin Harbour and at Clogher Head. Enjoy the views of the Blasket Islands and Skellig Michael. Call into Louis Mulcahy Pottery to have lunch and admire the €3000+ art works.

We went around lunchtime & it seemed like we had the whole place to ourselves. Minimal traffic & all of the attractions only had 1-2 cars parked at each. You really can't describe the views with words...and even travel videos don't capture what you're going to see. Each time you think you've seen the most impressive view possible, you turn... More

We went for drive on Sunday. Road was empty. Few spots to stop and take photographs on the way. It was not scary at all, after reading some previous reviews was worried but it was safe and enjoyable drive.

We started around 10:00 in the morning from Boolteens and spent the entire day on the drive, finishing up driving on the Connor Pass back to Boolteens. It was beautiful, the entire way. We drove clockwise stopped at several of the attractions. Keep in mind that each is two or three euro entry fee, but worth it. If you are... More
