The Zeni winery is located on the first hill beside the city center of Bardolino. From 1870 the Zeni Families have been dedicated in to the growing of the local vines and in to the production of the veronese classical wines. This wines are: Bardolino, Custoza, Lugana, Soave and Valpolicella, where inside the classical area the family has one more winery. From 1991 inside the winery in Bardolino is located the Wine Museum, a collection and proof of the local and ancient veronese wine tradition. The Wine Museum and adjacent Vinoteca are free entry for all individual visitors. For groups of 10 or more people the reservation is required. For both individual visitors and groups we required the reservation also for the visit of the entire winery.

A short tour of the wine museum, a quick look through a glass wall at the working bottling line, followed by a tutored tasting accompanied by an excellent selection of bread, cold meats and cheeses in a magnificent cellar. As you might expect you exit through the shop where you can purchase a wide variety of the company's produce.

We benefited from an organised tour of this clean and efficient winery. It began with a guided walk around the small and interesting museum, and an outdoor viewing of some of the vineyards. It ended with a fascinating, tutored tasting of three wines, accompanied by light snacks with local breads and cheeses. Afterwards we could buy wine and gifts from... More

I enjoyed visiting the Zeni Winery and Wine Museum. The people were very nice and you can see the machine that bottles the wine. You have a free tasting of 8-10 different wines! It's not a big place but it's very very nice.

Terrific display of winery artifacts and a great video for English viewers. Wine tasting is free for over a dozen wines with unlimited tastings. Small fees charged to taste premium selection. Great rainy day activity. Not my style of wine preference but still found the visit worthwhile

Enjoyed this - the museum is small and doesn't take long to wander around - fairly interesting to see. Wine tasting at the end is the main attraction. There are several red and white free wines to taste - and it's help your self! (bottles dispense around a 20ml measure of each). There are additional more expensive wines that you... More

Even if you are well educated in wine and Italian wine making tradition, the Zeni winery museum is still a place to visit if you are anywhere near lake Garda. Being a mass producer, Zeni have had the resources to collect and restore an amazing amount of equipment, all superbly exhibited both outside and within the tasting/sales building. We did... More

We visited Zeni at the start of a 2-day tour of Bardolino and Negrar. The museum is quaint, worth seeing though perhaps not worth a diversion to visit. There is plenty of wine available for tasting which we found to be reasonable, inexpensive but not particularly high quality. An organised tour would probably bring more life to the experience.

We walked from Bardolino town but it was up hill. Museum was small but free. Highlight was the wine tasting in the shop and we were able to buy wine at a very reasonable price. Only problem was we were walking so unable to buy very much.
