This is a great place to spend a few hours, especially during winter, as you get to swim outside and relax in the hot thermal water while it snows. We visited the place on a Monday morning, so I can't say it was crowded. There are three areas, but kids under 16 are not allowed in the thermarium, where the... More

Visited just before New Year. I bet it must be fun on a hot summer day but trust me, it is definitely more fun in winter, to be able to swim in an outside pool with the views of high mountains and snow everywhere around! Kids loved it!

Just in case you don't know: Bormio has three thermal baths; the Bagni Vecchi and Bagni Nuovi (outside of town, both are adjacent to hotels and best visited with a reservation) and Bormio Terme, in town and accessible to all ages without reservation. We went to Bormio terme on a cloudy January morning with our two kids. The outside thermal... More

I drove over from Dubino on a recommendation and planned to drive up to the Passo Dello Stelvio at the same time. If I had driven across only for the Terme, I would have been disappointed. Okay if you are staying locally but otherwise it is just a multilevel swimming pool with geothermally-heated water. Energy-saving but not spectacular.

After a hard day cycling, spend as long as you want relaxing in the various water based facilities. Almost empty large swimming pool and only a few kids overall. They will give you a swimming cap at the reception.

The most accessible (i.e. cheapest) of the three Bormio spas - this is the modern one in the centre of town. Very busy on our visit which spoilt the atmosphere a bit - the adults-only area was a bit more peaceful. There is a conventional swimming pool for actually going swimming, but most people are here just to relax and... More

Nice time spent there..swimming areas for children a little bit too small..but we had fun. ATTENTION: A swimming pool for adults (25m) take care...as life guards do not care..sitting in their room and not watching what is going on...very bad attitude..

Very good baths. With several pools indoors and outdoors. Quite busy and family friendly with a lot of children. Not expensive for a Whole day. See website for accurate prices. Relaxing with stunning views!

The "terme" are a must every time I go to Northern Italy. It offers a huge variety of pools, relaxing areas, saunas, etc. in a modern but also preserved historic setting. There is no queue for the services. Bathrooms are very clean and offer more than one shower spot.
