All Americans can by proud of this final resting place for The Greatest Generation. We visited early morning just in time join a small group enjoying an orientation tour from the Superintendent himself. You could tell this was a passion for the man, not just a job. One could feel a certain spirit of honor and respect from everyone standing... More

We visited to pay our respects at the cemetery. Two members of our community back in New York City are buried here. The cemetery is maintained beautifully and we were blessed with a personal escort.

We arrived at the cemetery about an hour before closing, just in time to hear the soothing music chiming through and the flags being lowered for the night. We met the Superintendent who was very friendly and full of facts. A bronze statue of the Angel of Peace looks out at more than 7,000 graves. Many buried here were casualties... More

Several times I have biked from Maastricht to Margraten and the American cemetery then onward to Henri Chapelle. I would say if ya are a tourist from here in the US both places are well worth a visit. The folks that work in the office at both sites re very helpful. If ya have a marker you wanna see they... Not my first visit and not my last. It never fails to amaze me how beautiful and tranquil these cemeteries are. I could spend hours looking round and paying my respects to those that lie within the grounds.

The uncle after whom I am named is buried at this wonderfully maintained memorial. Because we were there after the first snowfall this season we were alone to see the white headstones in a field of white. Because of the wind direction the backs of the stones were were snowed over but the inscriptions on the the fronts were perfectly... More

I think every American should stop at any American cemetery in any country. The Superintendent was very informative. Beautiful plus the whole valley across the road.

This is a very moving place where thousands of American military heroes from WW2 have found their last resting place. Good to visit this cemetry from time to time in order not to forget.

Located at a high point in the very beautiful countryside. Immaculately maintained place of solitude to show honor and respect for the service these soldiers provided.

This is a beautiful cemetary. It is a very moving place and I urge you to visit. If you have a loved one there graves are easy to find. On one was there to help us find the grave and we were able to fine it on our own.
