We toured Guado al Melo wine cellars and vineyards and it was worth the trip! First, the cellars & production facility are built into a small hillside, completely in harmony with the land. The history and science of wine are communicated using museum quality information panels inside the building. And the wine is very good! Atis was our favorite. Very nice wines in the 5 wine tasting. The hostess was very informative and with great english. Very interresting story behind the vinery, the small musuem and the library of many thousand books about wine. All situated in a very architectonial exciting building under ground. Worth a try.…

Tried 5 wines. All were very nice, and far better value than many vineyards in Bolgheri. We purchased a couple of cases so the tasting fee was waived, which is good and not always done!

This is a relatively new winery with an interesting underground cellar and tasting area. The wines were generously poured and would appeal to a wide variety of tastes. The staff was friendly and pleasant. the attached museum was worth a look. The rest rooms were very clean!
