Wish I had known this before getting on the local train. The Campania Express which runs on the Circumvesuviana tracks would have been faster and more comfortable getting to Sorrento. Took the local so I could ride this aerial tramway. Disappointed!

Got off the train only to find that the cable car is still not operating. Asked at the kiosk and they said maybe reopening in June but he didn't sound convincing.

Can't believe how good this was! This is not advertised enough! The cars run every hour from a small station. Starts slow but the views are amazing! A must activity if you're in Stabia

You buy your ticket in the station office before walking along the platform where you get on the cabin lift. Turn left when you get off for the longest and easiest walk.

The up and the down run at the same time and meet in the middle, almost as if one is pullin the other up/down. It's great fun. Enjoy
