Beautiful charm and lovely location. Retro area with friendly, happy people. Just stroll along the boardwalk, or walk down the quaint streets and enjoy the local shops.

The beach was awful, rubbish, bottles, cans, glass, wires, poo all over the place, I have never seen such a dirty place, even a condom floating in the sea, I’m assuming it’s because it’s the only free beach anywhere near. Lovely sunset if you don’t go on the beach

What a beautiful place to go for long walks near the beach! So many restaurants and bars around for every taste. An amazing discovery!

I decided to take the train down from Naples as my quick google search made it out to be a cute seaside town. There are aspects that are beautiful as during my visit the trees on the surrounding mountains were changing colour. The castle on the hill definitely gave fairy tale vibes. However, the town itself is not well maintained and very dirty. I did a quick stroll down the marina as it was a very "forgotten boat graveyard" vibe which was pretty neat. Definitely worth a quick visit but overall not anything significant

It was nice to walk along the board walk and to look at the sea and all the people and children before going to the restaurant for dinner.

A beautiful place for walks and sunsets. This lovely little town deserves a well maintained public beach.
Unfortunately, that is not the case here. The beach is not cleaned or supervised.

Castellammare is a charming little town and worth visiting, but the beach is still covered in rubbish, as other reviewers have said, so not a place to swim or sit on the beach.

We stayed at a nearby hotel and walked to the restaurants, train station and along the seafront. If you’re a keen photographer, you will not be disappointed with what you can capture here! Amazing views and very family oriented place.

Why isnt the beach in Castellamare di Stabbia cleened for garbidge.??? Could be a perfect beach there..... No Its only sad to see all plastic, bottles and dirt at the beach.
But Its a beatiful place to walk at nite and a Nice park for kids to play.

Salve.

Spendi come vuoi. Mare molto bello. Paesaggi con panorami incantati.

Buonasera.

Hi, we are staying in this area, summer 2018, just wanted to ask if it's safe to swim from this beach? I note there are a few pebble beaches around the bay towards Sorrento? Someone mentioned pollution? Any tips for a good local restaurant? Thanks

I think there is probably still some pollution there but it is improving. I swam on several days with my cousin who is from Castellammare and we had no problems but were careful not to swallow any water! It is one of the best beaches in the area and one of the only sandy ones. We paid 15 € a day each to use the pool and sun beds at the Miramare Hotel which is on the beach so you can swim in the sea as well and then shower by the pool which also has a pool bar. Just over the road is Mamma Mia's pizzeria which also does excellent sea food.
For an amazing view of Vesuvius and the Gulf try
Agriturismo Poggio Casasana which is perched on the hillside! Very reasonable prices as well.
