We enjoyed a tasting here on our way further south in Tuscany. When we arrived there was a little confusion as we hadn't booked a tour (we were pushed for time and had our dog with us) but I explained I'd emailed about just doing a tasting. Once it was clear we were genuinely interested in the wines we had lots of good information shared with us and we enjoyed the wines made at Villa Trasqua. There was a good range of wines and we bought quite a few to take home with us.

We happened upon this beautiful winery by chance and wondering around. We unfortunally were unable to take the full tour as they were setting up for an event, however they still gave us a wine tasting and we are going home with a bottle, super friendly group!

Georgia was amazing, she told us about wine making in a very interesting way, with great passion! Wines were delicious! Georgia described the differences between them in a simple way, so we could try to find them on our own. We got also some food (ham, cheese, bread) to try local products and to degustate different wines better (neutral food allows you to notice differences between wines better - their aroma, smell etc.) We want to come back one Day to Villa Trasqua and we recommend to visit this place to every lover of wine!

Villa trasqua is a vineyard, which is located in one of the nicest areas of Toscany, I propose to visit and taste, buy some of the wines produced (biological). The near by public pool with restaurant is certainly worth a visit either before or after the tasting.

We had the pleasure of visiting Villa Trasqua in March and loved every minute of our time there! Francesca took us on a detailed tour through the aging room, cellar and then to the tasting room where we enjoyed a Vermentino (white), Chianti Classico, Gran Selezione and IGT (super tuscan). This was all paired with amazing meat, cheeses and bread! Definitely worth the drive!
