Cefalu made me feel like a pixel moving in a photo-shopped picture published in a travel magazine. It's so spectacular! Historical buildings lined up on the shoreline, reflected in the turquoise sea, the majestic Duomo, popping out in the background and the massive cliff La Rocca,dominating the entire landscape. When I've seen pictures from Cefalu on various travel sites, I said they're probably edited in Photoshop. Well, they're not. Not much, anyway. Having visited Palermo, Trapani, Agrigento, Ortigia and Taormina, I have to say our last stop at Cefalu ultimately had it all. Lovely clean beach, clear water with few waves (ideal for little kids), charming streets and nice restaurants. Every other place excelled in one way or another, but Cefalu ticked all the boxes. The sea is blue, water transparent. The beach is located i the village, you don't need car living in the village.

Cefalu was one of our favorite towns that we visited during our 2+ weeks in Sicily. There is such a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere in the town that just calms you down and places you in a different state of mind.
