Views were awesome overlooking the sea in Cefalù. Had to wait ages to be served and restaurant was not that busy. Good local wine very chilled. We ordered nibbles of chick pea fritters and were served up with huge white bread rolls filled with a thin greasy fried filling which bore no resemblance to a chick pea fritter - inedible. Not a starter by any stretch of the imagination very unappetising. Not expensive - worth it for the view but skip the food. …

Why would one write a review of a little coffee shop on the other side of the world where one has made but a brief stop for a coffee and cake before heading back to do the tourist things again? It's because in many such establishments in very "touristy" places where many, many people on a given day stop to spend a very small amount of money, busy staff don't have the time or are unwilling to make the effort to make the customer feel welcome, the customer becomes just another in an endless procession. Yet, in this humble coffee shop, we were made to feel very, very welcome, it's the little things that make the difference and here the little things obviously count. The coffee was delicious, the cakes were tasty and freshly made, a request for the WiFi password was answered quickly and without fuss as were all our requests, but there was an intangible quality to the service that made us feel that our requests were not an imposition and that they truly enjoyed the fact that we had chosen to stop by at their establishment, almost as if we were an extension of their family. We felt it appropriate as we left to express to the proprietor our compliments not only on the coffee and cakes but also on the hospitality we had received. If you're passing through the delightful town of Cefalu, stop by for a coffee here, you won't be disappointed.…
