The beach at Garda has some lovely views over the lake. On a good day you can easily see the mountains on the other side.

It is a pebble beach, so don't expect to go paddling without some kind of footwear.
On our visit the water level was high, so it wasn't possible to walk the usual full length of the beach.

What a romantic place and so near the lake's namesake town on the big expanse, big sunshine, big light end of this wonderful Italian Idyll. Not often crowded, even on the warmest of days ... and marvellous for simply bathing or serious swimming. If you are going for the day, take food and drink as the facilities nearby are a bit sparse.

If you enjoy sunbathing on a comfortable beach with easy access to a great spot for lake swimming, this is certainly the place for you. There used to be a corner for food and refreshments, now sadly disappeared, but beach lovers are practical and there are many places closer to the town of Garda that cater for every need. Not usually very crowded at all, serenity is the order of the day here ... and the water's merely an easy step away.

The beaches on the lake are fine shingle but not unpleasant so OK for sunbathing and not hard on your feet for walking into the water.
The beach at Al Corno is long and thin and the water is clear. It was late in the afternoon when we visited so it was not too busy.

walk from Garda town to the end, have a cocktail watching the posh people arrive by motorboat and take a dip in the lake on the way back. Superb.

We really enjoyed this place, the view is so beautiful, the water is clear all was perfect. Provide some food and drinks (there is one bar there but I think a picnic is very appropriate for the place

While this beach is busy, people did not seem to be on top of each other. The lake water temp was nice to dip your toe in and we saw several swimmers.

The picture shown does not do Al Corno Beach any justice. We arrived on a a beautiful sunny afternoon where the beach was littered with fellow holidaymakers, sun worshippers, cyclists, families with children and pets. We had an ice cream and sat on the available benches situated on the upper walkway of the beach. Fantastic views of the lake. Note - it is a shingle beach so you will need something on your feet and more than a towel to lay on!
