We come to laigueglia for many years and every year we make the climb on foot to colla michieri. It is quite a steep walk but I think it is worth it every time. We have a drink in the bar and relax for a moment. If the church isnopen we visit this as well. There are many routes to... More

With the reviews of others, I have included this little village in our itinerary while we were staying for a few days in Alassio. The reason which attracted me is that Thor Heyerdahl lived here and found this place peaceful and beautiful. As big fans of his and his wonderful achievements in life, it was a must for us to... Thanks to this post on tripadvisor I find out that all around Laigueglia (and Andorra...Alassio) there are many hiking and mountain biking trails in the hills so I went exploring. The walking route to Colla Micheri is short, simple and panoramic. The village is... More

The original structures are very, very old, but everything has been mindfully retrofitted, to make for a very comfortable stay. There are several paths leading to nearby villages, and it is... More

This unspoilt hamlet boasts a small church, a bar, and idyllic alleyways amid stone-built houses, home of the famous explorer Thor Heyerdahl who did much to preserve it from ruin.

You can found Thor Heyerdal village at the end of a very nice walk starting in Laigueglia. Start it at 6pm, and have dinner at the restaurant.

The area of Liguria is a fantastic area for solo/single travellers....on the coast line there are several towns in walking reach that creates a dynamic environment, alongside with fantastic beaches. Its full of fascinating historic and crosscultural activites that makes the area an interesting spot to visit. Highly recommendable!
