This jetty looks like a small-scale reproduction of the great ocean jetties, from that (as far as I know the first in the world) of Brighton, to others equally famous: I have direct experience of Scheveningen and Santa Monica. The reduced scale implies that, beyond the pure physical fact that even here the jetty extends into the sea, there are no entertainment activities. There is however a pleasant bar, which helps to increase the animation of the place even on days out of the bathing season. And it is precisely outside the bathing season (at the end of November) that we visited this jetty. It is certainly pleasant in the summer; but perhaps it's even more so in other seasons, because the view from the end of it offers a "flash" of contact with pure nature (the sea) even more precious when nature itself appears in hibernation. When we looked out from the jetty, the sea was dotted with surfers with their boards (obviously in diving suit) circlng over the waves, while the setting sun turned the sky red. A magical vision!

We visited Lido di Camaiore in July for the first time, it has a wonderful ( and clean ) promenade and beach. The pier is great to stroll out to with fabulous views to the sea and mountains, its a nice welcome breeze too in the summer. there is a handy cafe / bar at the end which opens at around mid day and into the evening.

The pier is a great way to see the coast in Lido de Camaiore. Because of all the beach clubs you cant really see the sea so this pier us lovely. Plenty of seating and a cafe at the end.

Extending out to sea over the waves, we were delighted to feel the sea breeze and watch the sun setting in the West before strolling back to find a spot for dinner
