One of the most beautiful Holy House's in the world.

One of the most beautiful Holy House's in the world! I can not describe the exact feeling once you enter the Holy House. Unique atmosphere.

We arrived by car and parked outside of the ZTL and walked to the church. Within the large church, you will find the Holy House of Our Lady. It's actually the walls that enclosed the cave where she grew up. The exterior of the Holy House is beautifully decorated with bas reliefs. Entrance to the Holy House is on the... More

Words are not accurate enough when you visit Loreto. You will never imagine that there is such a big and impressive place in this small town. It is a must when you visit this area of Italy.

Remember when you see a beautiful painting and you think, there could not be a place on this earth so beautiful as this. Well, this place is just that! It is real. This place is unbelievably beautiful, so peaceful...my husband's favourite of all places we saw in Italy, and just as well cause i need him to take us back... More

As every church or monument in Italy, the Sanctuary of the Holy House with Madonna di Loreto is breathtaking inside – sculptures, frescoes and the Madonna. Unfortunately, photos are not allowed. It is in Marche region and it is the most visited church of this kind, after the one in Assisi. The Italians told me that there is a pilgrimage... More

Sometimes reality (and history) is more adventurous than action movies, and this is certainly the case for the Sanctuary of the Holy House of Loreto. During the crusades the aristocratic Angeli family, which then reigned the kingdom of Epirus, somehow got hold of the three walls of the Holy House where Our Lady Mary was born, grew up and received... Even when you just entered in the plaza in front it of it, you will have a superb view. Entering is something magic. it's decoration is magnificent and the history of it is going to capture you, even if you are not following the catholic religion 100%. It's a must view if you are catholir and/or visiting the region called... More

The piazza was set up for some event with lots of people in cassocks and nuns pushing elderly people around in wheelchairs so there was lots of bustle and atmosphere. The cathedral itself is one of the better churches we have seen on our travels. Well worth a visit. The town itself looks to be quite busy and touristy in... More

Very nice facade. Let the history of this site take you. So many famous and common people came in this place during the centuries. It can be very busy. Best time to visit is early morning or late afternoon.

If you are in the Marche you cannot miss to visit the pearl of baroque, Loreto, and one of the cardinals of the spiritual centers for the Catholics. Just minutes away from the Lido
