This is a quaint place to walk around, grab a gelato, rent a bike and ride to the beach. The blue paradise water is so clear you can see the fish. Lots of little restaurant on the main fare to enjoy. you can charter a boat, or take a liner from ~Trapani or Marsala, takes about 40 mins. Enjoyable day... More

We went only to Levanzo. The island was beautiful and quiet. We went in late September so there were not a lot of people around and it had a relaxing sleepy vibe. We went to the Grotta del Genovese which was really interesting. I enjoyed our tour guide, Natale. We had breakfast at the restaurant closest to the dock, and... More

I took a ferry from Trapani and hired a bike for 4 euros. It is easy to reach the various bays. In 4 hours I visited Bue Marine, Cala Rossa and Cala Azzura where I went swimming in the crystal clear bluey green water - heaven!

We took a hydrofoil vessel from Trapani at 12:20 (we booked by phone and saved almost 10EUR compared to the price if you reserve via Internet). You can also buy on the spot with the risk to wait for 2-3 Vessels. We took the sail back at 20.45 which is very special as it is total dark outside. If you... More

3 small islands just off the west coast of Sicily. We went by sailing boat. There are no berthing facilities and the services offered where extremely liimited but the islands are nice especially the sea is some specific areas. I would recommend berthing in Trapani and going for a day trip to the islands. There are many restaurants on Favigniana... More

Favignana is undoubtedly beautiful - Calla Rossa has some of the most turquoise sea I've ever seen. But arriving late morning and hiring a bike in July was a mistake. A near miss with heatstroke and not enjoyable as a result. Found a lovely bar beside a rocky beach and hid from the searing heat beneath their parasols. Island beautiful... More

30mn boat trip to reach the island of Favignana. Nice port with lots of restaurants (nice terraces with shade). Easy bike rental on the port (5€ per day) to ride around the island. Nice beach around Punta Lunga

three incredibly picturesque islands. extremely hot, where time and air stands still, the heat pours from the sun and just a clear water gives you a little bit cool. The island of Favignana is famous for its tuna fisheries, Levanzo has famous Grotta del Genovese with Neolithic cave painting and Marretimo has got impressive grottos around the island's coast and innumerable swimming spots but accessible... If you have a chance to go here, please do. We rented a scooter and took it to a few beaches, it was literally one of the most beautiful places i've ever been to. I've been to 30 countries and 150 cities all over this world and I am a full on beach / clear water junkie, and not many... More
