Lots of history in this town. I love the little wine bars around town. They are called catinas. The wineries give tastings this way because to visit the Vinyard you need an appointment

We went on a wonderful wine tour organised from la Casella . We went to two fantastic wineries . One in montepulciano with the most amazing historic cellar complex including an Etruscan cellar. It was most informative and the wine was very good.

I'm sorry, I am just reading your question now. We booked all our tours through "my tours" as our time here was limited and we did not want to waste any of it trying to find our way , and/or dealing with parking ect.
