The short uphill walk takes you through the largest shopping area in Val Gardena. Pretty with lots of sports stores, souvenir shops and bar/ restaurants. The large colourful hotels at the top of the street add a gentile perspective to this now very modern town.

Exceeded our expectations! So beautiful with the Christmas lights and markets. I researched via TA the perfect Christmas village for our holiday and absolutely made the right choice! The pedestrian zone is chocolate box gorgeous.

In winter, this place is the heart of Christmas. A magical, fairytale place. You will not want to leave here. I have not seen so many lights, trees and Christmas symbols in one place yet..

Ortisei's centre is the typical mountain village, with a pedestrian zone full of coloured nice buildings, with shops and cafés.

We came here by the shuttle bus from the cable car station at Seiser alm. We enjoyed walking in the mountains up there. As we did not have much time here, we enjoyed browsing the shops here and visiting some museums. I bought some very...More

Came for the Dolomites. For great views ride the cable bahn's with the Gardena card. Favorite was Dantercepies. Only disappoinment was the Bahn's shut down at 17 - 18:00 so no chance for a dinner on top or to look at stars - unless you...More

Hi, the main street is traffic free, so no issue from that point of view. Off the main road I have to admit did not make a specific note about dropped kerbs so don't feel qualified to help on that. We were in car park across... More

There are some close parking places, it's a relatively small area of a few streets, there are almost no cars in the specific streets nor sidewalks, so far so good, but, the streets are mostly up/down hill so it might add... More

Tak a train to Chiusa and bus to Ortisei. Seems the easiest and cheapest way to get there.
