This is a museum dedicated to the remarkable contributions to the publically-accessable store of Etruscian artifacts made by a prominent family. The articacts are arranged in a manner calculated to depict that story, rather than any sort of introduction to Etruscian studies. It is an...More

I am not an art expert so I was very impressed by the similarity of Greek and Etruscan pottery. You can find hundreds of ancient pottery, but also jewellery etc. in an excellent state.

This museum is directly facing the cathedral with wonderful views from the first and second floors. For me the highlights of the exhibition were the Attic black-figure and red-figure vases but all the artefacts are of interest with a reasonable amount of information in English....More

We visited using our Orvieto City Pass. This is a lovely museum with lots of artefacts extremely well presented with a lot of information in English (which helps). A lot of the exhibits came from the Etruscan Necropolis just below Orvieto, and everything fits into...More

Well-presented Etruscan artifacts and in particular some very fine pottery. Translations of display cards into English is always helpful. Absolutely empty when we visited in the late afternoon. Also visit the Museo Archeologico Nazionale across Piazza Duomo

I have made Etruscan life the theme of my holiday, and thoroughly enjoyed this museum. First the entrance fee was very reasonable, and the receptionist was very pleasant. Then I watched an audio-visual presentation - although it was in Italian, I understood key phrases and...More
