Avoid - only locals wanted. Tourists were picked out in the queue for the lift and told they could not go to the the beach as it was full. All sunbeds were pretty much empty. They were rude and unhelpful. I have been coming to Sorrento to 30 years and never experienced this.

Nice beach that received the Blue Flag for clean water. You can rent canoes, and paddle boats and go to the near secluded beaches and caves.

Very calm sea with pedallos but beach was busy in August. Sea gets deep quite quickly which makes the shoreline quite crowded. Sand is slightly coarse but Lido has a friendly Italian family feel to it. Food, drink, ice creams, changing rooms and toilets basic but nice. Plenty of shade. Big yachts moored offshore to daydream about. Plenty of car parking.

A quick cab ride from the town of Palinuro took us to this delightfully hidden away beach, with crystal clear blue green water in several different coves. There are about six different chair-umbrella concessions, all adjacent to one another, each with its own unique spot on the beach, and two or three small bars or restaurants. Canoes, kayaks and pedal boats were available. The beach was clearly popular, but not overly crowded. A number of picturesque yachts came and went as we swam and sunbathed. One of the nicest beaches we have been to in Europe.

Great, natural landscape. The water is so clean!
You can choose three little beach on this coast. Good service and possibility to do activities on the Lido.

I stayed in Palinuro for 1 week, and this beach was by far my favourite for spending the day. The towering cliffs and grottos are picture perfect. It felt surreal. The water was crystal clear and warm. There are 2 ways to access the beach. We discovered the easier way only in our last days. The harder way is to climb down the mountain from a walkway that is easily accessible if you are staying in the touristy part of town. But it's a long walk. A good 10 minutes. Downhill is great to see the views, but uphill was a challenge. The easier way is through a parking lot that is located close to the beach and is accessible from one of the main highway roads. For lunch, just pack some paninis and you are good to go. You can buy drinks and food at the beach, but nothing special. Enjoy the views!

This little beach accessible only by a little boat service from Scario which costs just six euros a person is a delight. The beach is a mix of sand and shingle with crystal clear waters. be careful near the rocks on one side though as they are very sharp.. A wonderful surprise passing through a natural arch of thick vegetation you find yourself in a shady well stocked bar, eating area, and cafe all accompanied by the owners son singing and playing the guitar. Wonderful experience. The little boat bus stops by every hour to take you back to Scario and if you fancy an ice cream they arrive by boat!!

The road towards the beach is a bit bumpy but it's worth it. At the end of term road there is a large parking space and a small pond to cross the river.
Everything is available in the beach. Eating and drinking but also booths for changing your close. You can also rent kayaks.
Not to crowded in June.

Hi
We are visiting Palinuro in July, is this the beach that can only be reached by boat?
Could you give us a guide as to the cost of two sunbeds and an umbrella for the day.
We will not have any transport as arriving by train, any advice i would be grateful.
Many thanks
Nick

No proprio max ombra ma credo sufficiente.
