Little Paradise on Earth

If you pass by Palinuro, you cannot miss this little paradise. Because of Covid-19, we couldn't use the normal ferry, so we decided to reach this amazing place renting for a couple of hour a pedalos in the nearest Marinella beach. Crystal water, sandy beach, perfect for Instagram pictures.

Un angolo del cielo sul mare! A corner of heaven on the sea!

It was the best part of an excursion called "Grotte di Capo Palinuro". We took a small boat from Palinuro to visit a few places along the coast and were deposited here for 30 minutes. I had anticipated needing river shoes so had no problems here in some areas where it is rocky. As well, I had bought two waterproof pouches from Walmart for occasions like this. I had money in one, my phone in the other. Perhaps bigger boats have steps you can descend from without needing jump in, but ours was small. You jumped in or you stayed aboard. It was a dream experience. Wonderful.

Only available by boat, pedalo or swimming because it's private. It should be public/demanial in order to make everyone able to visit it by walking.

Very special place to stop for a beer and a swim

We stopped here for 30 mins on our way back from a boat ride down the coast. A really special place for a beer and a swim but I’m guessing it gets pretty packed in the summer (we came mid morning in early June) at which point it’s probably a bit less special!

A little corner of paradise

This tiny little bay best reached by the numerous and inexpensive boat trips on offer from palinuro is a total delight. Crystal clear waters, a mix of sand and shingle and even a little bar in the corner that makes a wicked coffee make this beach magical. It does get busy but even in July we found space. Not to be missed.

We went to this bay with our sailing boat. We stayed over night. This a wonderful experience. Good place to see colorful fish

Amazing beach ! Gets very busy 9.30 am-12.30 pm and 3-5 pm. Avoid those times and you will be in paradise !

one of the isolated beaches with crystal clear water and white sand

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, lush vegetation, crystal clear waters and a coast stretching for 100 km:
The bay of "good sleep", is named after the rest the fishermen used to take in this protected cove. It is located in Capo Palinuro and is one of the most characteristic beaches in Cilento. To reach it you can catch a small boat which departs from the port of Palinuro and which may also include the possibility of excursions to discover the caves of Capo Palinuro. The current charge is €15 p.p. for a 90 minute trip along the coast and into a few caves.
we took a trip from Palinuro which lasted 2 hours and one of the points of interest was this slice of paradise which compares well with other deserted beaches along the Capo di Palinuro

We came here once via tour and once via paddle boat and I would reccommend to spend the whole day and come by paddle boat if your fit because its totally worth it. Absolutely beautiful. There aren't many people. This place makes me feel like global warming hasnt hit everywhere we should be thankful it exists and support the places that keep it alive.
