We went around quite a few places in Positano, Capri and Napoli, but Lorenzo's store had easily the most beautiful and high-quality ceramics of them all. A pleasant hour or so was spent indulging in the different designs.
Lorenzo really took the time to help us among his other business, and we had fun hearing him telling all the anecdotes about his store and background behind the designs. It's always a pleasure to meet someone as dedicated to his thing, not to mention with a great sense of humour! We actually came back another time as well, and the pieces we got that time were flexibly added to the same shipment.
Everything arrived intact and meticulously packed a couple weeks later, and Lorenzo was quick to reply when we needed assistance with locating the order (UPS Finland really cares zero about notifying the recipients of their packages, but the seller is not to blame for this of course). Really happy with the products and the service, definitely recommend!

I wish I had taken the time to read some of the negative reviews of this shop and its owner before I shopped here. As a bit of background, I have always shopped a lot when I travel and love having these purchases in my home. For over 30 years,I have never been tempted to write a bad review until now. I went to the Coast this summer with the intent to purchase a ceramic table similar to one I had purchased several years ago.
When we still had not received some of our order after almost three months,I reached out to the owner to let him know. I also was unhappy with the table purchased. His first response was that everything was sent I just must not have looked in the box. He then told me to send him the paperwork but he would not send the missing items as it would cost him 40-50 Euros. (My friends and I placed an order for $6,000 and were charged for insurance). He also then claimed the missing items were gifts to us so he didn’t need to send them. Note the custom orders were itemized (plaques with names on the, etc) The remaining items were generic and he didn’t itemize on the bill.
What is more disappointing is the quality of the table. The cost was $1,800 and samples in the shop were very nice. The table I got was very poor quality. The painted surface did not cover the edge of the table. There is an entire area that looks like an orange stripe from over 20 feet away. in other areas the edge of the table is blotchy I sent pictures and also pictures of the samples in the shop which show none of this type of imperfection . He then sent me a video of another table where you can also see the orange. This video appears shot from underneath the table so it is not the same thing.I did think it was funny that his defense of sloppy work was to say all his work is bad!(Note the other two we ordered were fine)
I will try to include pictures so people can judge for themselves. You take a leap of faith and have to trust that people are honest when shopping in a foreign country.
Fortunately, there is a community of travelers that can share information and steer people away from the bad actors that take advantage of visitors to their country that have little recourse.
I also concur with the opinions of many others who have posted. He is really a lunatic. He has left me (and my friends) numerous rambling voicemails, multiple texts at 3 in the morning,etc. He has told me I’m a bad person, that I’m rude,insane,etc.
There are so many wonderful shops in Italy. Stay far away from this one.

The best Italian ceramic store on the Almafi coast! And we looked! Ravello, Priano, Almafi, even the rest of Positano — nothing compares to the craftsmanship found in this shop. Lorenzo, the owner, is spectacular and speaks great English. He’s so approachable and friendly, he even went and got drinks with a customer.
The pieces at Emporio Della Ceramica are the REAL deal. You won’t find cheap transfer designs like at the tourist traps down the street. Each item is hand-painted and authentic crafted by Italian artisans. However, it’s surprisingly affordable that you’ll be able to leave with what you really loved.
Don’t see exactly what you want? They can make it! They also (blessedly) ship worldwide and pack everything extremely well. I can’t recommend Lorenzo’s shop more. Don’t miss it!

DON’T EVER GO THERE! Lorenzo, the owner of the store was extremely rude and humiliated me in front of other customers just because I took a picture of the store while my friend was looking for a gift. He could had simply asked me to not take any picture but he said loudly and in a sarcastic way: “are you going to take lots of pictures and will not buy anything? You are not welcomed here!” If you are looking for great ceramic there are much better stores with better service.
I’m sure if my friend and I were two white men he would NEVER talked to us the way he did but as we were two girls of color he felt he could be extremely impolite.
I’m sorry for you Lorenzo, you are just a pretentious snobbish seller who feels superior to others because of you ‘wanna be’ fancy store in Positano.

Lorenzo was a true lifesaver. I live in New York and I had reached out late in the day about a plate order that I needed for rush delivery (for a birthday gift). Lorenzo got right back to me and helped me through the process by sending photos of what they had in stock, making sure that it would be delivered on time. Sure enough, the plates arrived earlier than expected, actually. They were packed safely and they were even more beautiful than in the photos!
This is a great shop. I can't wait to go there in person as soon as it's safer to travel overseas. I highly recommend, thank you so much, Lorenzo!

Discovered Emporio della Ceramica on a Positano travel guide and was amazed to find the most beautiful family owned ceramics shop! Fell in love with all the unique handmade designs so decided to buy two full dinner sets for my mother. They were sent all the way from Positano to Miami, FL with ease and no damage at all! Thank so much Lorenzo and your sweet son for all the help and the best customer service!

We were supposed to be in Italy in May (2020) and unfortunately, were not able to go due to the pandemic. As a gift for my cousins who would have been on the trip with me, I wanted to gift them an Italian Christmas ornament. My friend is friends with Lorenzo and recommended I contact him. Although we have never met in person, Lorenzo treated me as family. His communication was fantastic making sure I was ordering exactly what I wanted. When the package arrived in Ohio (about a week from the order date), it was pristinely wrapped. Each ornament was individually packaged and as I opened each one my heart smiled. The attention to detail on each ornament is what makes each one so beautiful and unique. I look forward to meeting Lorenzo, his family, and team in 2021 (fingers crossed) and purchasing more of the best Italian ceramics which are true works of art!

I can’t say enough good things about this store, the service or the owner Lorenzo. We purchased our dream table a few years ago from Lorenzo and it has been a cherished table for our family for years. Recently we suffered hurricane damage and our table was destroyed, we were devastated. I reached out to Lorenzo to see if it could be remade. Not only did he get it remade but he made sure that the same artist worked on it so we could have our dream table exactly the way we remembered it. Lorenzo stayed in constant communication to make sure all of our needs were met. Lorenzo takes pride in his work and feels more like a family member than a businessman. I highly recommend this store and can’t wait to go back in person to see Lorenzo and buy something else to add to our household.

First and foremost, the owner Lorenzo is a gem of a person. He goes miles above and beyond for his customers. He makes you feel like family with his warm hospitality. He also speaks perfect English. I met Lorenzo about 4 years ago while visiting Positano. When I first entered his shop my jaw dropped. I could not believe my eyes. He has the most beautiful and unique ceramic works of art you will find anywhere in the world. And if you have your own idea of something you want, he’ll make it for you and exceed your expectations. Since visiting Positano I have kept in touch with Lorenzo. My cousin recently started a brand new restaurant in Bar and I wanted to surprise her with a gift. I immediately thought of Lorenzo as I knew he was the right man for the job. Below is a picture of what his artist made which speaks for itself. The best part is I also made a great friend! Thanks for everything Lorenzo!

Good afternoon! My husband and I will be traveling to positano in early October. We plan to pick out a few pieces to have shipped home. I know cost will vary significantly but could I have a range? I'm specifically looking at a plate set. Something to remind me of our trip.

Back to your specific request on shipping costs....well it is not easy to determine effective shipping costs based on what you are asking . I could be more precise once I will have shipping details ( address with zip code), and quantity. I could probably help you in considering around 80/90 euros shipping costs for a 3 pieces place setting times 6 = 18 pieces total........I hope this helped to give you and idea.........of course please consider that some place settings are 30Euros some others are 195.00 euros per place setting........so.............below pls find all the infos to contact ,via mail by the way, would be the best:
