If you are interested in this genre, it's more than decent. Many artists not too familiar to Americans like me.

The collections inside are divided into three sections: (a) contemporary art, with focus on Italian artists; (b) 20th century Italian art; (c) temporary exhibitions. This museum is awesome. The architecture is already a gift for your eyes! It's good to search for the exhibitions first on the internet site.

The temporary exhibition on WW1 was very varied and well laid out. Nobody is going to like everything of course but the place gives you plenty of space to see the exhibits and the day we went it was very under-populated. Well worth the trip.

An excellent modern arts museum considering that it's located in a rather small town. I took the audioguide and it was a couple of hours well spent.

MART is a lot bigger and better museum than you would expect in a small town like Rovereto. We visit it a couple times a year to see the changing exhibits. One of the best modern art museums we have found.

Located in Rovereto, Northern Italy, the building designed by the Swiss architect Mario Botta with the Roverteo engineer Giulio Andreolli. It's worth seeing the museum building as well as the exhibitions, a large part of the collection is devoted to Futurism.
