Very beautiful cycle path with little difference in altitude (old railway line redeveloped), possible for families with children because it is quite secure,
Be careful when crossing Sanremo towards the station and respect the 2 or 3 stop signs. The track is separated from the road and pedestrians remain on their reserved space. The last section from San Lorenzo to Imperia West has just been completed and the track is now 29 km long.
The landscapes are fantastic and the track is the most beautiful in the region. Avoid in July and August because of little shade.
Many Nolobici rental companies all along the track (see up-to-date prices on their site). cafet la vesca by the sea and they also serve tables (parking for bicycles provided).

You don't have to be togged out in all the latest veloware to appreciate the Ligurian cycle path. Westward, it starts in Ospedaletti, going through San Remo and on to San Lorenzo with a new extension to Imperia. A total of just over 31 ks of relative flatness with fine views over the Med and stop-off points to replenish your not-too-tired limbs with various liquid refreshments, nibbles and, why not, meals. Of course it's 31 ks back to where you parked your car, but you'll survive. The two big towns you'll pass by are San Remo and Imperia, very different from each other. The former being the Cannes of the Italian Riviera and the latter being not. Between the two, the several ports of call will enable you to indulge yourself without feeling guilty about it. San Stefano and San Lorenzo offer some insertion into la dolcé vita. of Ligurian lifestyle. Winter sunsets can be spectacular. Enjoy.and pedal free.

Pleasant and sunny city! 😎
Interesting Saturday morning market with very reasonable prices for French tourists!!! A very good rating at the restaurant 4 stagioni da Gaetano where I enjoyed a very tasty plate of tagliatelle with lobster and cherry tomatoes. Don’t hesitate to stroll along the port while enjoying “the best in the world” Italian ice cream…! 😉👍💚🤍❤️

It’s been many years since since I rode a bike, but as the saying goes you never forget! We hired bikes from hotel and rode 13 miles to St Lorenzo alone a disused former railway line, converted into a bike track and totally safe for even novice or inexperienced cyclists. Then we turned around and rode back and then 5 miles in the opposite direction. The track is very flat and is an interesting route following the coastline and with long tunnels to cool you down from the heat. Take a picnic or stop at the shops, cafes and bars along the route or park up and visit the beach.
This is the only decent attraction in Sanremo, ironically the track out of town!

The cycle/pedestrian path that winds from Imperia to Ospedaletti is truly the gem of the western Riviera.
Well maintained, with benches and rest and refreshment areas, it allows you to play sports while enjoying wonderful views.
The route is almost always with a sea view, you can enjoy the scents of the sea and silence as the route is far from the busy Via Aurelia.
I think this route has given this coastal area a new tourist impulse

Top cycle path between Ospedaletti in the west and Diano Marina in the east. Quite busy at weekends, pedestrians sometimes walk on the cycle lane. In some places there are bumps in the road, so you have to be cautious when driving. The tunnels are sometimes poorly lit, so it is essential to use functioning cycle lights there. The view of the sea is partly obstructed, but there are some lovely little towns along the route with places to stop for a break, e.g. San Lorenzo al Mare

Magnificent wide and very well maintained cycle path, bordered by a path for pedestrians, very good coexistence of uses. Cafés and restaurants, bicycle rental companies dot the route. The view of the sea is simply beautiful and relaxing, the passage through the tunnels is refreshing. Be careful, the route is not very shaded, there are few water points, to be expected when it is hot, 60 km round trip can make you thirsty! To discover ! Thanks to our Italian friends

I walked it in about 2.30 h (round trip) with husband and children. We rented the bikes in a rental right at the beginning of the track in Imperia.
Well-kept path, exclusively dedicated to pedestrians and bikes but with distinct lanes so as not to get in the way.
Really beautiful panoramic views and at times it is shaded. Being the former railway section you pass through several well-lit tunnels.
Kiosks on the route x be able to make a stop.
The cycle path from Imperia to Ospedaletti is all paved and is just under 30 km long.

Superb cycle path. Departure from Sanremo (ex station parking) and direction Imperia. We stop before towards Arma di Tagia. Well-maintained track and lunch break at the La Vesca restaurant. In short, we had a great day outdoors. To recommend

My husband and I rented a 4 person bike, and we put our 4 and 6 year old kids at the front. We rented the bike on the bike path right at Corso Mombellow, and we rode the path for about 30-45 minutes (each way). We finally arrived at a rocky and somewhat deserted beach that was gorgeous. This activity is also okay on a hot day because you ride through this very long tunnel, which they make interesting by posting historical facts/pictures about the Sanremo bike race. Kids loved it.
