We visited with a group to enjoy the unusual art collection which includes esoteric works from the Renaissance era and remnants of an infamous fresco of ladies playing Tarocchi (Tarot) in a wee boat (from around 1443 – 1453). The guide was knowledgeable about art history and spoke English well. The castle grounds were lovely and everything about this experience... More

The collection is modest, but it is well staged in a rennovated castle, replete with some great frescoes. The room with the vices and virtues is especially fun. Those without wheels should be warned that it's a bit of a walk from town, although it is one one of the bus routes.

the small castle is not far from palace grand hotel, easy walking distance. its a lot more impressive than we were expecting on the inside, as outside it looks quite humble. medieval murals on the wall and paintings from different centuries await visitors. we were shown around by guides at first then we were allowed to wander on our own.... More

We made the effort to visit this more off the tourist trail castle and were very happy we did so. There is a fine selection of artwork and artifacts on display ranging from centuries past to the modern era. There are also incredibly beautiful frescoes from the mid 1400s and the wood carvings are impressive! The staff were extremely helpful... More
