Charm and character but be careful walking.

A beautiful old centre, with lots of character, but very uneven cobbled streets, so wear good non slip soled shoes. #Lovely church, lovely views, lovely restaurants.

Enjoy a few minutes climbing through the old town. We stayed there and enjoyed the locals getting ready for celebrations.

Wander the narrow streets of old town Vieste. Take in the sights, sounds & smells of the old town to get the full experience. Lots of little nooks& crannies & little shops to explore!

Gorgeous town on top of a hill. Spent a afternoon walking around and checking out the food markets. Came out with fresh cheese, meat and delicious bread. Recommend to walk around and take in the sights.

Vieste city centre is divided into the new city and the old one. Old Vieste is a typical Mediterranean suburb with small pedestrian strees, tiny restaurants and shops and old ladies dressed in black sitting outside the door. I particularly suggest a visit in the evening since the small streets become even more beautiful. Pay attention at restaurants! They are... More

Loved walking the streets of Vieste browsing in the wonderful shops, hanging out on the beach and eating gelato. The evenings were spent enjoying a music festival in the main piazza, dinners outside and enjoying great wine at fabulous enotecas before strolling back to the hotel. A beautiful town, surrounded by water, full of history and beautiful architecture.

You can wander the narrow lanes at your leisure, plenty of bars, restaurants and shops, and not over touristy.

I would not recommend spending a long time here. It is nice just to walk around and discover the city, but not to stay for multiple nights.

On a headland of bleached white cliffs stands the ancient village of Vieste. It is literally surrounded by the azure Adriatic, and literally sparkles in the sun. The old town is cluttered and charming with endless shops and restaurants. There is no vehicular access to the Storico, and precious little parking nearby. If you stay on the beach, an attractive... There are plenty of really lovely old town centres in southern Italy but this one rivals the best It clings on to the promontory blessing it with wonderful views A must visit with many good restaurants as well
