This cemetery is understatedly beautiful....everything about it is low key and peaceful and pays utmost respect to the men and women here....You cannot miss this if you are visiting Normandy and the landing beaches......

This out of the way and smaller tribute to Canadians who made the ultimate sacrifice, is as beautiful and well maintained as its American counterpart. Just east of Reviers, the cemetery sits amongst fields, and has mature maple trees lining the perimeter of the site....More

This out of the way cemetery is much smaller and more personal than the much larger American cemetery. There were a few parking spots on the side of the road in front of the cemetery, and a large parking spot, but it seemed difficult to...More

There are two Canadian WWII cemeteries in Normandy. This is one of them and there are 2048 soldiers who sacrificed their life. Seeing all of the graves provides a visual understanding of the shear number of soldiers that died during WWII. The Commonwealth War Cemeteries...More

It is a more personal cemetery than the American one: it has more personal messages to the fallen heroes, flowers between each stone, flags and gifts. It is a very pretty cemetery filled with maple leaf trees.

This is one of so many cemeteries maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. Those interred here are Canadians who lost their lives at Juno Beach. Saddest of all are the numbers of stones with no name, simply engraved "A Canadian Soldier of WWII".

It was a shame I was with a tour group as I wanted to spend hours here. The grounds are beautifully kept and it is one of the most peaceful yet harrowing places I’ve been in my life. Each tombstone had a quote that the...More

We traveled overseas in 2018 and stopped at the the Canadian War Cemetery to pay our respects to the brave men and women who gave their lives so that ours could be so free. The French people are taking very good care of our boys...More
