This is just a Monument. Nothing really interesting to see. You can go and see if you are in neighborhood.

Nice modern Arch built by president Mitterrand in 1982 it is a cubic structure with width, height and depth of 110 m. The two sides of the Arch house government offices. it is at the end of a strait line of historical monuments

While the main city has no buiIdings more than five or six stories high, this area would be loaded with high-rise structures. The Grande Arche de la Défense, at 106 meters tall, is a white building with the middle part left open.... More

The arch itself is very impressive but with all the building work going on around it we were not able to take in some of the better views. This is modern Paris which is no bad thing as some of the surrounding buildings have interesting architecture. There is a massive shopping centre underground here which is ok if you like... More

La Grande Arche de La Defense it's a very modern edifice, located in a big plaza, but without the glamour, the beauty, the "je ne sais quoi" that the old Paris has to offer us. The benefit it's that hotels usually are cheaper at La Defense. So I stay at La Defense and from there, go and visit all Paris... More
