The path is well marked and reasonable. You do have a couple of areas where you ao up and down a steep ish slope, but the walk along the cliffs are stunning and you do end up in Collioure. The last part of the walk in Collioure is on the road.

Very pretty area round the eastern edge of the Pyrenees. Little hillocks covered with patchworks of vines. Lovely glimpses of the blue mediterranean. Little clouds curling over the high peaks to the west. A protected snorkelling cove with lifeguards and a museum. Places to taste the local wine. Attractive harbours, clean pavements and neat rows of rocking sailing ships with ancient battlements. A great place to stay or to visit!

A particularly nice part of the trail is between Paulille and Port Vendres, passing Cap Bear. Rather follow the yellow marks though, the orange dot at one point mislead us.

We strolled from Argeles to Collioure. It took an hour and a half. It was up and down and not always very well market but well worth it with stunning views of the sea and the bays and the cliffs. Wear decent gym or walking shoes.

Walked from Le Racou to Coulioure in about an hour. Tough but beautiful walk along beaches and up steep mountain steps. Recommended for people who don't mind difficult steps and some improvising along the way. Young children (<6 yo) not advised.

Having come to the region for many years, it was a walk I had never done before so finally I did it.. why did I wait so long! the walk took me and my boyfriend about an hour from racou to collioure going at a reasonable pace! views were stunning!! Not suitable for young kids or people who would struggle to climb steep steps as it can be quite high and on rocky paths but if you are capable I would highly recommend!

It took us an hour to walk from the end of Le Racou in to Collioure centre. It is a quick walk down a steepish hill from the car park by the working army base down in to Collioure, probably harder going back up. We decided to take the 1€ bus back to Le Racou. The tourist information in Collioure have up to date timetables. Be careful if you get the times online as they change by season. The nearest stop for Le Racou in October was Valmerie, near the large Le Racou car park. As we got off here and walked back to the car we saw two women waiting at Le Racou stop where the bus does NOT stop in October. They then had to walk to Valmarie ( not far) and wait for 90 minutes for the next bus. Other reviews talk about going through the campsite gates but this stretch is now closed due to erosion. There are large sections of the coast road that have crumbled or are completely missing but there are clear signs taking you inland where necessary. Lovely walk with great views and lots of sea air.

It is a very steep and rocky climb from Les Criques to Collioure. You don't arrive in Collioure itself, but at carpark nr. 5. You then have to descent to the town centre for another 2km or so. Nice to do once, but we took the car the next evening and parked directly at the carpark. After 7pm it is free.
