Wide ranging collection from local archaeology, geology, Roman, Cathars, building of the canal, Napoleon 3, sculpture, paintings. Cheerful and helpful staff, an excellent hour at a cheap price. Re entry is allowed so you can always pop off for lunch if you wish then come back.

This isn't one of the places that is listed as one of the key attractions in the city guides but it is a fantastic museum in a super location in the Roman part of the old town so even finding it will be interesting. For a very low entry price you get the history of Beziers from pre-Roman to the... More

Went there with two young kids and they loved it. I didn't get bored myself either. Very friendly price for about 1 hour tour. Local history to explore from stone age up till WWII. Find a parking might be an issue.

We visited this fascinating museum on a Sunday in May and found no one there. It is indeed a gem of a museum. The artifacts and displays of the history of the area, especially the model of the city at the time of the 1209 massacre, are amazing for a museum in a city this size. If you have any... More

We didn't find a lot to do on a Sunday in Beziers so found the Biterrois and decided to give it a go. Pricing is very good - a 5 euro ticket which covers the Biterrois and 3 other museums and valid for a month. The museum tracks the region's history and is quite informative. It's all in French so... On a miserable day, so thing to do! What a fabulous surprise. A marvellous museum, full of interesting surprises. Lovely helpful staff and crammed full of interesting information about not only Beziers but the surrounding area. Well worth a visit.

Tucked away in the old quarter of Bezirs, this museum is a little gem. Very interesting to walk around, with scenes from various times in the past, fascinating historical facts. Well worth a visit and very reasonably priced.

Modern museum with something for both children an adults to enjoy. The exhibitions were nicely set up with good and just long enough explanations (in french). The special exhibition "Les Gallois" was very nice for children.

The exhibition was about the Gauls their history but also a lot of history about the region where Béziers is situated. The exhibition is large and have interactive displays in I think four languages: French, English, Italian and German. They have interactive learning games that my children enjoyed a lot where you can learn about the work of archeologists, biologysts... More
