A beautiful cathédrale worth the short walk up to the top of the hill... 'twas unfortunately closed by the time we got there though :( so we didn't get a chance to go inside. Too bad the opening hours aren't different on weekends.

A beautiful gothic cathedral. Be sure not to miss the gothic cloister and the bishop's garden, which are in a door to the right of the main entrance

We visited the city and we were determined to go to the cathedral and say prayers for all the people killed during the Albigensian Crusade that took place during the Middle Ages, with a fierce sense of history and place, our family having been among the Occitans who fought the Northern invaders back then. Connections like this are ever possible... More

We made a point of seeking out this Cathedral the following day as we saw it perched on the hill on the way back from a day trip and thought how imposing it looked. The cathedral interior itself is not awe inspiring but still a calming place. An elderly lady sat at the door seeking donations but unsure if it was... More

The church is built on the highest part of the city. The views from outside are beautiful. The church itself is beautiful and well worth a visit.

Always lovely to visit here, the cathedral is wonderful, the bishop's garden a dream of a peaceful place, the Roman cloisters so interesting and informative. And the view of the Languedoc Plain and the Pyrenees across the River Orb is stupendous. Not to be missed by anyone visiting lovely Beziers.

Visited with Family and spent many hours exploring this free attraction..You can actually climb up to the top and views of the Canal Midi and beyond are breathtaking..20.000 people..men women and children were put to the sword here by Simon de Montfort in the 12 century..They show a very informative film within the Cathedral that tells of the History..
