We visited this church by following the signs. While off the track, it was worth it. The historic church and graveyard is beautifully maintained. We visited it on a Sunday morning and were surprised to find it is a functioning church. Note the slots at...More

Nylars Round Church is one of four such churches at Bornholm. The walls are more than a meter thick and in the centre of the church a big column is supporting the vault. Here and there old frescoes can be seen with motives from the...More

The one is the most elegant of the round churches as it hasn't got the supporting "pillars" on the outside. There was a wedding when we visited, so we could only see the church from the outside; nice to see it's still in use

We have been to this Church twice and enjoyed the beautiful setting and wonderful internal murals and designs. The church is, however, closed on saturdays and sundays and only open until 4 otherwise.

The church is charming, but there is not much to see. Is known as the most elegant of the round churches, as built without buttresses.
